Topeka names health care administrator, case manager

Two health care professionals have joined the team at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. Erica Brown was named health care administrator and Laura Amburgey was named case manager, according to Executive Director Heather Pilkinton.

“Erica comes to us with 12 years of experience in senior living, most recently serving as administrator for two communities in Manhattan,” Pilkinton said. “Erica will be a tremendous asset to us as we continue to provide quality senior services guided by Christian values.”

Brown has a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration services from Washburn University and her Adult Care Home Operators certification from Butler Community College. She also has a degree from Brown Mackie College with her certification in practical nursing.

Aumburgey joined Presbyterian Manor in September 2017 as case manager. She has a bachelor of science in nursing from Wichita State University. She has worked as an RN case manager in senior living and hospice, and has been an ICU nurse for 8 years.

“Laura brings a varied background to us at Presbyterian Manor,” Pilkinton said. “Her experience working as a case manager for hospice and senior living as well as in the hospital setting will be invaluable to us.”
