Renovation Project Nears Completion

Topeka Presbyterian Manor’s renovation project will conclude in a matter of weeks.

“Everyone is super excited. It’s going to be beautiful,” said Rosemary Dahlgren, marketing and sales director. “At the same time, residents are very anxious for it to be done.”

The $1.6 million project will transform large parts of the campus, including a renovated lobby, dining areas and decorative elements.

Harbin Construction, which serves as the general contractor for the project, began work in January.

Rose said the Assisted Living residents are looking forward to the new dining room, while residents in Independent Living are looking forward to hanging out in the new lounge and library where they can read, play games and work puzzles.

The main entrance has been closed during construction. Soon, residents will enjoy easier access thanks to new automatic doors.

After a stressful few months, the completed project will be a reason for the community to celebrate.

“It’s one step closer to feeling normal,” Rose said.
