Topeka Presbyterian Manor hosting veterans event

On Saturday, November 11, we will remember the sacrifices of area veterans, their spouses and widows at 2 p.m. at Topeka Presbyterian Manor, 4712 SW Sixth.

“We appreciate their service,” said Heather Pilkinton, executive director. “It’s an honor to recognize our area veterans, their spouses and widows each year and remember their sacrifice.”

The wreath ceremony and presentation of the colors by the Honor Guard will be at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and everyone in attendance will receive a commemorative flag pin. There will be a special recognition for veterans at the ceremony.
